Recru ("we," "our," or "the app") is a Freemium Greek life recruitment companion app operated by Recru LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user. By creating an account you agree to these terms and our Terms of Service, including our zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior.

• Account info: name, email address, school, graduation year, and recruitment track (sorority or fraternity). • Profile info you choose to add: bio, interests, profile photo, Instagram handle, and hometown. • Content you create: chapter impression notes, FitCheck outfit photos, and anonymous community Q&A submissions. • Device info: IP address, operating system, and general usage data used solely to improve the product.

• To provide the app's core features: chapter directory, notes, community discovery, and recruitment journey tracking. • To display your profile to other users at your school (only if you enable "Discoverable" in Profile settings). • To improve app features and fix bugs using aggregated, anonymized usage data. • We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with chapters, national organizations, or third parties for marketing purposes.

• Profile photos and FitCheck outfit photos are uploaded to Cloudinary (cloudinary.com), a secure third-party image hosting service, and linked to your account. • Photos you post to FitCheck are visible to other logged-in Recru users at your school. • You can remove photos by updating your profile or deleting your account. Deleted account data is removed from our servers.

• Your profile is only visible to other Recru users at the same school when you enable "Discoverable" in Profile settings. • Q&A questions are submitted and displayed anonymously — your name is never shown. • FitCheck posts display your display name but never your full personal details. • Connection requests: when you request to connect with another user, your display name is shared with them so they can accept or decline. Declined requests are stored privately on your account and are not visible to others. • Users can report objectionable content or abusive profiles using the flag/report button on any profile or post. All reports are reviewed by the developer within 24 hours. • Users can block other users, which immediately removes them from your feed. • Objectionable content and abusive accounts will be removed promptly.

The app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy: • Google Firebase — authentication and database (firebase.google.com/support/privacy) • Cloudinary — image storage (cloudinary.com/privacy) • Expo — app infrastructure (expo.io/privacy) These services may collect device and usage information as described in their respective policies.

• Account and profile data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which uses industry-standard encryption. • Images are stored on Cloudinary's secure CDN. • We use Firebase Authentication to manage your account credentials. We do not store passwords.

• Access: View all your account data inside the app at any time. • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data directly in the app via Profile → Delete Account, or by contacting us at therecruapp@gmail.com. • Opt-out of discovery: Toggle "Discoverable" off in Profile to remove your profile from the community directory. • Data export: Contact us at therecruapp@gmail.com to request a copy of your data.

Recru is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately delete it. Contact us at therecruapp@gmail.com if you believe this has occurred.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via an in-app notification. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent update. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
